Ben Grieme

Ben Grieme shot his landscapes in a river town called Ludlow, Kentucky, a small town that’s lies just down the Ohio River from the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Its the town where his grandfather was born and raised and later worked the rail yards until they closed and he eventually moved the neighboring city of Covington, Kentucky. Grieme stated, ‘he’d always tells us tales of the rail yards, swimming the lagoon, and being from the bad side of the tracks. Ludlow for as long as I know has been a working class city with a bit of a rough edge. The Ludlow kids had an edge and toughness about them, they’d fight and take no shit from anyone’.
